Every successful interior design project starts with a good design concept.
Concept generation allows for your interior designer to put your brief into a visual representation such as a mood board. This helps you to visualise your space before it has been physically done.
A typical board will contain a collection of furniture, colours, materials, textures, accents, accessories and lighting ideas. It will define elements that will make up your interior scheme.
This part of the design process helps generate ideas, planning, circulation, materials and textures, colour and lighting – this will drive the concept of your interior design scheme.
Colour impacts on our moods, thoughts and feelings. It can affect our health and well-being. If you are looking for advice and guidance on the perfect colour scheme for your home, without the need for a full interior re-design, we can help.
Lots of things are taken into account when deciding on the right colour scheme for you and your space, and we work closely with you to ensure you make the right choices. We take into account internal factors such as architecture and light as well as the natural environment and its relationship to your room or rooms, a major factor when deciding what colours will or won’t work in your home.
Space planning is simply (easier said than done!) dividing the space up effectively and creatively whilst maintaining functionality. We will help you maximise the light, flow, acoustics and public/private spatial balance in your home. Punctuating a space with ‘signposts’ such as seating, sculpture or furniture can help, as can using lighting and/or floorcovering to define ‘pathways’ through the space.
Not all space planning projects require an architect unless there are substantial changes of scale. If an architect is required we will work in close conjunction with them to develop and deliver your perfect scheme.
