The benefit of using an interior designer is not only the wealth of knowledge and skills they utilise in pulling together decorative schemes, but also accessibility to suppliers who only work with trade customers.  Now you can access these too, by using the services of David James Interiors Oakham.  Below is a selection and brief description of what is on offer.

Our wallcoverings are sophisticated, opulent and modern all of which embody high style.

Edition 2 brings a contradiction of traditional and modern designs with watercolour florals, exotic paisleys, shimmering silks and detail embroideries.  Inspired by the great city of London, these designs echo the quiet luxury of Saville Row, the exuberance of Soho, whilst embracing the urban aesthetic.

Edition 11 think – luxurious bohemian environments such as grand Roman villas and the deep blue of the Mediterranean sea.  The collection is light and airy with shimmering damasks, classical Greek key and signature peacock designs which are embellished with glimmering hand-applied Swarovski elements.

Edition 14 is inspired by modern forms, clean lines and textures that create a depth and opulence that will immerse your space with a saturation of colours and metallic finishes that will bring another level of luxury to your space.

Patina is a quiet blend of damasks and textures that will bring elegance and sophistication to the modern interior, coupled with a traditional twist and timeless design.

All of our mirrors are sourced from our supplier in the UK and British made, by skilled crafts people, using traditional methods.

The range is immense and includes various styles to suite all interiors from Art Deco, Contemporary to Ornate Gilts and Rectangular frames.  There are various sizes and finishes available and some can be completely made to measure.

Lighting is so important when pulling an interior design scheme together.  Even the best interior scheme can look wrong if the lighting isn’t right.

We offer lighting produced by one of the UK’s longest surviving British Lighting Manufacturers.  You can expect wholly original products designed and made by a dedicated team.

Each item is hand crafted and finished using traditional hand finishing techniques that create unique textures and finishes.  All lighting products meet the highest standard of quality and electrical safety.

There is an extensive range of products and we can offer a bespoke service for those who require something a little bit different, or something completely new.

It goes without saying that you will be investing in the highest standard of craftsmanship.

We work with a cross section of fabric houses.  In the studio you can browse:

James Hare: Established in 1860 and ran single-handedly by purchasing cloth bought from small weavers for the tailoring trade.

In 1999 the company merges into the world of interiors.   The extensive range of fabrics can be used for upholstery, soft furnishings, and curtains. The interior plain silk range has over 600 shades and virtually all these wonderful silks can be paper backed to order, a wallcovering that will add opulent glamour  to any room.

Maison Thevenon: Since 1908 the Maison Thevenon has cultivated the art of textile creation based upon four generations of French textile tradition.
